Club Updates:

Riding

Start lessons this week and the team started practices

Outing

Hoofer week of instruction so lots of basic lessons, and good trips went out this weekend like a whitewater trip to red river

Sailing

First BOC meeting went off great, Kickoff tomorrow, and four events coming up this month

Scuba

Rep found, needs vote, and open water started last Thursday

SnS

Bring the Telluride trip to under $600 RailJam is on October 22

Mountaineering

Hopefully all the positions will be filled and/or forced to be filled Montaineering beginner clinic, people can sign up at the OPO…..

Victor is the hoofer of the week for his participation in the Ironman competition

First meeting of the South Campus Union Advanced team met this week so if people have input as to how we can operationalize  the equipment being added to the new union please talk to Paul

Group Pricing initiative will be headed up by Jen so if clubs have any info they can talk to her

All Hoofer Database was also brought up so that all membership information will be initially digitized and clubs can utilize this information as they will.

Motion - Paul: Kristin Paul receive Hoofer of the Month of May for outstanding service above and beyond that can’t be defined to one month but because we have to assign her to one month we recognize her service in getting the Sailing Team to Nationals.

Mindy:

Homecoming kickoff is Friday October 9th and they would cover cost if we provide all the manpower and waivers for a climbing wall. Outing and Mountaineering should talk to their respective clubs but Mindy will tell Kylee that we will be there

HHH: Starting the second to last week of October Friday will have apple cider in Library Mall and something will happen that night. The event will run until the 29th, on which the Buccaneers Ball and pumpkin carving will take place.

Drew: Drafting a new website and talking to whoever did the riding one…

Martin: Go to SCUBA meeting and learn what I need to do, along with going to a HOLO session

Brad: Sailing Kickoff and Sailing retreat and working on BOC

Sarah; Talking to club about group pricing and Haunted Halloween and Homecoming and working on committee

Caroline: Getting people to volunteer for homecoming

Matt: Contract sent out for rail jam

Jen: Work on group pricing with Erin and email clubs and start setting goals for treasurers

Erin: Working with Jen on pricing strategies and working with HHH and attending HOLO on Wednesday and writing press releases

Gina: Help Drew with website stuff and work on a new brochure

Courtney: For a campaign planning committee for Hoofers

Austin: Work with HHH and finalize

Andrew: Make some copies of the participations packets

Paul: Work on lots of big projects

Justin: Contact Steve of the riding club for website and find out who to talk to on the SCUBA club for website and work on membership digitization system

Mindy: Email HHH committee and hopefully set up a meeting
