Club Updates

Outing:

Things are going swimmingly with the outing club but we don’t have a website with a calendar and we lost all our electronic memberships

SnS

Kickoff going on right now, 12 spots on telluride

SCUBA

Out trip to Cozumel is cancelled

Mountaineering:

Things are going well, we’re still going climbing.

Sailing:

All member meeting from 7-10 next Wednesday in the great hall. Then there’s going to be a question and answer session.

Riding:

Everything is going well although there is a transition of who actually lives at the stables

President’s Report

Database update: SnS, Sailing, Mountaineering and Outing (current memberships) are all entered in the database. Please push everyone in the office to enter information in.

Constitutional Roadmap: Two rounds of bylaws that I want to work on doing. One, consisting of three actual bylaws, we will be worked on tonight. Lastly, all of our clubs are supposed to be student orgs, but we will work on taking that out of the constitution in December.

I will be travelling a lot this week. First to Chicago to pick out furniture and then I will travel to Minneapolis to check out their union, and then I will go to Milwaukee on Thursday to meet with architects.

VP-Programs Report

First, thanks for participating in HHH and it was very successful. Thank you to Billy, Austin, Brittney and Courtney.

Hoofer of the Month

Mindy: For organizing HHH. Coordinated nine events and planned meeting well in advanced of the events and she delegated responsibilities effectively which added to the overall success of the event.

Dan Siedlecki wins hoofer of the month for October.

Brad: Host a board meeting and a general membership meeting and have a club survey

JJ: Hold a meeting and send Jim a final copy of the revisions for the facilities operations manual for the new union south

Mindy: Start thinking about winter carnival

Billy: Meet with Mindy about winter carnival

Martin: Talk to mike who ran scuba council and check on status of boat

Drew: Get further on updating content

Kyle: get rolling on my position

Austin: attend SnS meeting and put data into database

Paul: do a bunch of Union trips and get these Bylaws to Council to vote

Caroline: Go to outing exec meeting whenever it happens…
