Hello Hoofers,

Since I joined Hoofer Outing Club in December, I have jumped right in becoming active, especially on the Council level. As Vice President of Administration, I would be required to work with the VP Programs to organize events. This past year I have helped set up the Statue of Liberty for Winter Carnival, and I was a volunteer at the Hoofer Haunted House. (Even though that was before I was officially a member!) As of a few weeks ago, I was appointed VP Admin to run elections for the other positions, and I would really like to be able to continue my duties next year.

What I find even more important is that I really believe in what Hoofers does. I was never much of an outdoors person until my roommate convinced me to become a Hoofer member. Since then I have learned rock climbing, kayaking and caving—all things I have never imagined myself doing! And I can’t wait to learn more, like tele-skiing when the snow comes back, or maybe canoeing this summer. I feel that this passion for the Hoofer mindset and mission would make me an effective and committed Vice President of Administration for Hoofer Council.
