Position Description: Club Representative

Qualifications
• A general knowledge of the Hoofer philosophy and of the individual Hoofer clubs; or more importantly, a desire to learn more about the clubs and the Wisconsin Union.
• Must be approved under the clubs constitution to represent that club on Hoofer Council.

Duties
• Mandatory attendance at all Hoofer Council Meetings and Hoofer Council Retreats.
• Attendance at the WUD Fall retreat is encouraged.
• Inform your club members of Hoofer Council business, events and other relevant items following each Hoofer Council Meeting.
• Inform Hoofer Council of club business including upcoming events.
• Actively participate in all Hoofer business that comes before Hoofer Council.
• Promote awareness of Hoofer Council business to club leaders and members.
• Foster interest and participation in Hoofer activities.
• Help organize and carry out at least one “All Hoofer” event and/or work party.

• Hoofer Council members receive free memberships in all clubs during their term of office after having paid the General Hoofer Council Activity fee.

Accountability
• All Hoofer Council members abide by Wisconsin Union policies and the Hoofer Council Constitution.
• The Hoofer Council Club Representatives are accountable to the Hoofer Advisors regarding position performance and responsibilities.
• The Club Representatives report to Hoofer Council and are directly accountable to the Council President.
• The Club Representatives are also responsible to their clubs executive board.

Time Commitment
• Meeting times weekly: 2-4 hours
• Projects/Planning Monthly: 3-6 hours
TOTAL TIME PER WEEK: 3-5 Hours average
